TEXTURING TEMPLE POLES + MOODBOARD

I started the texturing project by gathering a photo for the side of one of the posts of my temple. i edited it in photoshop using the crop tool and also the perspective toolas the image was not straight. i then saved the image as a JPEG and entered the premade model of the temple. i then selected the material editor and the diffuse tool was then used to import a bitmap and i selected the file i made in photoshop. then i selected apply to object and view in viewport. then i needed to add a UVW map to edit the parameters of the texture. through this i selected the cylindrical tool and rotated it to fit the pole.

Firstly i opened the ready made file of a cube, i added a plane beneath the cube as a floor. i then used the material tool on 3ds max. i then used the diffuse within the materials tool. Next to that their was a small box. Once clicked i was then given the choice where i selected bitmap. Then i chose my file that was already prcreated and applied it to the crate. then i clicked the button named 'assign material to section', after i also clicked the button 'show shaded material in viewport' to apply and view the material.
